Mark Wilson, Director of the Division of Gaming - was relieved of his duties (actually he was "reassigned")yesterday, Jan. 25.
The fallout from the Gaming Vs. Revenue fued continues.
Gaming is losing big.
It doesn't pay to tangle with your bosses - especially when the "big boss" is a member of the Governor's cabinet.
Governor Owens also appointed three new commissioners to replace the two that he fired - here's the details...
The governor's new appointees are:
• Patricia Imhoff, of Greenwood Village, to serve as a member with business experience. She is a Democrat representing the 6th Congressional District. Imhoff is managing partner of American Polycom LLC, a plastic resin distribution company she founded in 1995. She also is president of Katherine Grace Investments LLC, a real estate development company she founded last year.
• William J. Hybl, of Colorado Springs, to serve as an attorney and as a Republican representing the 5th Congressional District. Hybl is chairman and chief executive officer of El Pomar Foundation, one of the largest and oldest private foundations in the Rocky Mountain West.
• Meyer M. Saltzman, of Denver, to serve as a certified public accountant and as a Republican representing the 1st Congressional District. Saltzman is a partner in Saltzman Hamma Nelson Massaro LLP, the firm he founded in 1976. He is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs and serves on the board of advisers for the Daniels College of Business.
The commission appointments take effect immediately and are subject to state Senate confirmation.
