I know these scenarios are all situational- but ive ran into this tuff decision to make when it happens. Ill list a couple and maybe you can tellme what you would do.

A. Im holding 10-9s (3 others in the pot)
Flop is 10-9-J creating a tr8 possibility.
Say you are second to act-
Last to act-

B. Holding 56o on the SB- (2 others in)
flop is 5-6-K allclubs
first to act-
last to act-

Basically trying to feel out what to do with 2 pairs off the flop with a scary board.

First one, I would look at staying in if it's cheap, but only calling. I wouldn't rise to a raise - Q,K in hand and you're in trouble. This goes whether I act second or last, no matter what the field anyone that is willing to bet will probably have a big hand.

Second, I would look to stay in on that. The flush is a possibility, you've got 2 pairs and a possible full house. Again, if I were first to act I would probably raise looking to thin the field down to one or take a free albeit small pot.

If I was last to act and checks had gone round the table, I'd happily stay in. Again, any big bets could signal trouble and I wouldn't have any gripes about folding that hand.
