American Gaming Group, out of Las vegas, has announced their intention to build a NEW mega-casino along Highway 67 as you go into town. If all goes as planned look for a grand opening in the Summer of 2007.
Plans call for a 3-story, 40,000 square foot facility - enough room for 650 machines and a 450-car parking garage.
It will be outside of the Historic "district", but has gotten the approvals necessary to move forward.
There's a yummy little side light to this announcement. Purely a RUMOR - supposedly these Vegas types are lobbying HARD for a review of the limited stakes statutes. We'll have to watch that one closely.

Definitely, what are the limits currently?
Any ideas on table presence out of interest? I'm not a fan of slots, even less slow of the fact that slots seem to be replacing a lot of tables in casinos up and down the country which is a shame. Maybe I'm just not a fan of solo play.
Thanks for the heads up, sounds like it's going to be a mega-casino alright. |
