Colorado's mountain casinos posted a 0.9 percent DROP in revenue in May compared with the same month a year ago,
according to data released recently.
The state's 47 casinos recorded adjusted gross proceeds - which is total wagers minus payouts - of $65.6 million in May, down from $66.2 million in May 2005.
I guess that explains the increase in TV advertising lately.
Hmmm, I wonder if they think they can make up that revenue by lowering the pay tables on video poker? I can't see that working, but Harrahs sure seems to have the same believe in LV.
