I became a member of this casino in the first days of the opening, and was a regular client until now. I'm mexican so I have a tourist visa as legal ID and this one is the ID I always showed to security staff because I look younger, well, a few days ago I went to the casino, like always, at the entrance, I was asked for my ID, but the new member of the security staff (I did not see her before) did not knew the ID, she checked with others security members but no one knew the ID, they checked at a little book (not the big one that others casinos have with international IDs) and they did not found anything, they took me to the downstairs offices, and kept me there for about 20 min. just waiting and waiting, and I was confused because I couldn't belive what was happening, I did not make anything wrong, I did not make a felony, my only mistake was go to this casino, meanwhile they made a fotocopy of my visa and my mexican ID and they refer like maybe my visa was fake, and absolutly was legal, real, not fake, they called to the Inspector of casinos or something, and He asked me something about the police, I did not undestand why, after that He called the police to ask them about my record, of course they did not have any bad record of me, so He just told me: sorry for the inconvinience, and gave me finally my IDs, I was so upset that I just leave and tell the security lady I won't never ever come back to play in this casino. I felt like a terrorist or delincuent and I just wanted to play and spend my money gambling. If somebody know that this procedure was wrong just let me know, because is not fare that just because I'm foreign, I receive this treatment. |

Hi Roxy - sorry it took so long to reply...
Your treatment was indeed unfair and unreasonable.
I will say that up until recently (like last week Sept. 25th), Century was way OVERSTAFFED - especially in security. Last week they layed off over 30 people, many in security. It was like the security people didn't have enough to do - so they would hassle people. I have a good luck charm attached to my player's cards and I had a security guy actually come up and question me about it.
I would try Century again - I'm thinking they will be a little less "enthusiastic" about their security these days.
