I guess this isn't just directed at the Isle, but I'm staying at the hotel tomorrow night. Does anyone have a restaurant they recommend in Blackhawk? I've eaten at the Mountain High's buffet and it's not bad, but I'd like to try something else. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Are you looking for something typical or special?

If you are just looking for good, no-fuss food then you might try the Riviera Buffet. Lots of food at a good price.

Here's your options from my perspective...

High-end choices - Farradays (Isle) or White Buffalo (Lodge).

Buffets - Riviera, Isle, Mountain, Lodge (in that order).

Mid-range dinner menus - Lucille Malone's (Gilpin) or the new Tiki Grill at the Isle. Eleanor's at Bullwhackers and the Canyon grill are ok as well.

Snacks, etc. - get Chicago hot dogs at the Gilpin or check out the snack bar at Colorado Central Station (downstairs).

Beyond Black Hawk - Scarlets up in CCity has an excellent restaurant upstairs. The sit-down menu at Easy Street has great food at great prices. The Red Dolly (half way up to CCity)is a big favorite with locals and regulars - always a good sign).

Expect crowds in most places on Saturday night - the earlier you go the better.

Thanks very much guys. I'll check those out. I expect a lot of crowds tonight. I don't expect to even get near a table. Thanks again!
